I did this in acrylic on hardpressed paper Strathmore make, 9"x12" inspired by the book and  movie by the same title.I added a few textures using PS&. I have made 5 limited prints in size 11.7"x16.5" (A3) on 250 gms heavy paper . I got the prints done by a professional printer. Each is prized at USD 50, inclusive of packing and shipping by air. Original is prized at USd 150 without the title.

A DIVIDED LAND.

A divided land.At regular intervals I see conflicts flaring out in many parts of the world for pieces of land and the lands are drenched with the blood of innocent lives. That was the basis for this painting. Red denoting anger and hatred  against cold steel blue of calculative minds.

Many a time I am floored by the question ‘what is art”?. So direct is that question coming at you suddenly that you stumble for words! We try to explain quoting some great artists. But nothing seems to convince those skeptical people! And for the right reason. Who decides what art  is?  The question is similar to ‘who am I’ etc!

 What really is art? Is it the ‘product’ that is sold? People seem to surmise that what is NOT sold may not be good art at all!

How can one make art interactive for everyone to learn.? Need answers.
