Landscape Paintings, Landscape Art, Colorado Artist Carol Hein

18 by 24 inch original oil painting. $4.70 from the sale of this painting wil be donated to the American Heart Association's "Go Red" program.

Nathan Hale grew up in Coventry, CT, graduated from Yale and taught school for two years before joining the Continental Army. During the Battle of Long Island, he volunteered to go behind enemy lines and gather information about troop movements. Nathan was caught by the British and hung as a spy. Many of us were taught his last words - "I regret that I have but one life to give for my country." Nathan Hale was 21 years old. The homestead is now a beautiful state park in CT. Visit it if you are ever in the area.
